GET COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR TECHNOLOGY!
We weren't born digital!
Many of us grew up without the benefits of this digital age – calculators, computers, cell phones, digital cameras, music players, e-readers, wireless networks, and all the jargon associated with this ever changing technology. It's been a steep learning curve for us, especially if those advances came long after high school. Today's kids were "born digital." No wonder they can navigate with ease, they have learned right from the beginning, even before they have attended school!
Classes Are Over!
School is long behind us. Some of us have taken computer classes, learned a few things, but found it difficult to keep to remember after the course has ended. Turning to the manual is of little help when it seems to be written for those who already have some technical knowledge.
What Can You Do?
In a one-to-one setting adults can receive the attention they need for the things they want to learn. After many years as a computer teacher and trainer of children and adults, I have found that the best approach for adults is individual tutoring, consulting, or coaching. Each adult is at a different level of need. Each is interested in learning to do different things.
